The roadside VMS serves to warn passing vehicles as well as possible. It can be set up on ‘A’ roads and motorways, and used for crowd control at events. The roadside VMS mainly deployed for (long-term) roadworks or in locations where clear information is required. During events, the roadside VMS is frequently used for crowd control and to display information to the public. The roadside VMS has a 6-metre screen, but takes up remarkably little space at ground level.
